Somewhat of a silly comic Blade Runner, two ordinary plumbers from Brooklyn: Mario (Bob Hoskins) and Luigi (John Leguizamo) enter a world where they battle eight-foot-tall Goombas, a lizard king (Dennis Hopper) in order to save a princess named Daisy (Samantha Mathis).

Well produced and filled with action, kids will love the frantic pace of the Super Mario Brothers. The quality of the special effects and the adventure into de-evolution and future evolution provide an interesting set of circumstances both for the lizard people who evolved from dinosaurs and humans who evolved from monkeys.
