Early in the film Emily (Amy Schumer) is at lunch with her boy friend telling him she has two tickets for a luxurious trip to South America.  She expects him to be excited to take the trip with her, but he shows no emotion, no interest and is clearly tired of looking at her.  His reaction is the same we feel as we watch Snatched.

Like a firecracker that never explodes Schumer and Goldie Hawn who plays her mother, race around Columbia chased by a drug lord.  We are expected to believe that the two will bond together as never before while they sort-of fight for their lives.

Poor Joan Cusack is relegated to a mute character who is paired with Wanda Sykes as employees in the major hotel the two women begin their vacation in.  The employees commit (not sure why) to help the hapless two.  It is questionable as to why Sykes and Cusack who have shown some effective comedic performances in the past accepted the limited roles here.

Filmed in Hawaii on Oahu and Kawaii might bring the expectation of beautiful locations like waterfalls, trees and beaches.  Some of that is displayed but most of the locations are altered to look like poor rural villages filled with bandits and thrives.

Each time it looks like the end for one of the two (something like cliff hangers) a strange occurance bails them out.  In a couple of those cases they murder the family of the head drug dealer in the location which gets him on their trail to extract revenge.

Goldie Hawn has shown solid comic capability in the past but here she just is not in control.  She along with Cusack is wasted in roles that are just not comical and wear out quickly.

Script writer, Katie Dippoid just doesn't up tension for us to grab on to, nothing is funny, just a bland run in the jungle which is suppose to change the character's lives. There is running in the jungle, but the comedy is lost when they leave New York.
