The original book and film, Fifty Shades of Grey spent the script on the abusive controlling antics of Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) over the innocent Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) who was impressed with his wealth and power. In this the final chapter Grey is married to Anastasia, the opening scenes are built around the wedding. Usually wedding scenes are the climax of the script but here it's just the beginning.
About twenty percent of the film is soft core activity between the two stars, and even they are both young and in great shape the episodes begin to wear thin as the film progresses. The sight seeing honeymoon around Europe is a nice travelogue to view especially on the large screen.
But beyond the wedding the script is third rate even if it were for a TV production. Anastasia returns to work and has been promoted to a position she truly enjoys. That brings the first crack in the relationship but each problem up to the silly kidnapping and car chases, could easily be solved with just a few words between the two lovers. If that sounds like a soap opera, you have the essence of The Final Chapter.
Could it all end up with Christian and Anastasia living as a normal rich couple. I guess it could happen but what a change that would be for the peculiar life style of Grey and over time Anastasia Steele.
The control and abuse in the original film concerned me, in this chapter the lack of quality in the script abuses the audience.
